i am sure they were indians as you know as well as i do there are some indians out there that are whiter than me and i am preety damn pale :chuckle:
-
It could have been a special permit or damage control hot spot hunt. Damn Indians
-
Oregon maybe it opened on the 27th :dunno:
-
There are a few special permits that were open on Aug. 1st for any elk.. Blackrock and Silver Dollar. Maybe from one of those areas?
-
dont know pretty *censored* to be dropping it off there if it was poached, just looking to see any clarification. wish it was in my truck

I live near that ray's meats and I don't hear or see anything plus I don't know any Indian that would go there when they can drop it off on the Rez at one of the local butchers for a lot cheaper and not pay tax. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask the people there before anybody jumps to conclusions or maybe you could've stopped and asked to see the bull, I know I would've whipped around regardless of Indian or not just to congratulate the person and see the rack.

Also remember that Idaho archery elk has already started. not sure where Rays Meats is but could be an Idaho bull. :dunno:

I have to agree with you PlateauNDN....theres several places it could have came from and if it was at a butchers shop off the res it most likely wasnt a native

I don't think Ray is with Owens Meats anymore, unless something recently has changed.
