Title: Riffe Lake
Post by: bwhntr350 on September 05, 2011, 08:44:08 PM
Sort of a boring weekend and at 47 years old and having done nothing to get ready for elk season (archery), I decided to take a hike today, with my bow and my new digital Canon powershot D10 that my wifey bought me for my birthday. So, I drove up Kosmos and went right and then left, don't know the road number but took the road to Goat Creek trail. Went up it 2.5 miles or so and took off with a 10 pound pack and my bow. Went down 600' in elevation and crossed Goat Creek and then up the other side 1,800' (according to Google earth).

While up there I found a nice little cliff and snapped these pictures, which are not great, of course, but kind of a different angle than most will see, including me, until today.

I telephoto'ed in and then took this of the fishing bridge,

Then did the optical telephoto all the way to get this. It really looks good in full size, which I cannot accomplish through PhotoBucket:(
