I haven't hunted there in years but I would bet my last dollar that all the gates are locked up tighter than a ticks azz until modern firearm.

Weyerhaeusers Vail Tree Farm is currently closed for fire danger.

from what the first officer i talked to said is that packwood and part of the gmu next to it where the only ones open and probably it would stay that way till after mod season with no one out there hunting there could be alot of calfs next year and some monster bulls

When you say places are closed. Do you mean closed to vehicle traffic or can you still walk in? Also are the timber company land the only places closed or do they close the Ginford Pinchot NF as well?
-

National Forest lands are still open. I don't recall National Forest ever closing for fire danger. I'm sure it's probably happened, but it's very uncommon, that's for sure. State land is still open as well, as far as I know.
Weyerhaeuser, at least the St Helens tree farm, was closed just to motorized vehicles, but as of September 8th, they closed it to ALL entry.
