Title: Hunting North of Mazama
Post by: razorback1980 on September 13, 2011, 09:42:51 PM
Was thinking about doing a deer camp North of Mazama this year. I am kinda new to mule deer hunting coming from Whitetail country and transplated to Whidbey Island. Wondering if this is a good area that maybe myself and a couple buddies could have a shot at filling a tag? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone could throw my way.

Theres deer there go scout it. Try the road on the left up past the goat peak road.

Don't waste your time up there, there's no deer around there, just lots of people. :chuckle:

Lots of people works for me...on opening day anyway. Key is to find a nice spot to sit and wait for a nice buck to run by. After tomorrow you might have to go looking far and wide for a three point.
