hey i know this is a long shot but there are alot of truck guys lurking around here and i was just wondering if anyone had or know of a duramax lb7 engine or just injectors for sale. i am trying to avoid dishing out $2500 on new ones. let me know. thanks.
hell for the right price i might buy a whole totalled truck.

I'm assuming you're out of the 7 year 200k mile warranty GM added to the injectors?
-
I went through it at just over 200k. I bite the bullet and had new ones installed. A little more than 3k ouch. A warning don't let someone sell you on the cheaper reman injectors. You will be gong through this all over in no time. Good luck.

Talt to Dinomite Deisel in Monroe or to ... an outfit in Bellingham name excapes me right now.. And don't go with the stock injecters buy the higher flow injectors they quiet the rig down and get better flow.. And if i remember correctly they ar not even that much more $$$

Call Lenny at Dynomite. Maybe they can be rebuilt?
-
The price of the squirters are the cheap part. Go with new. Oversized can give you problems. The stock tune should be tweeked and the CP3 modified to make them work right.

Good idea. I think mine are going to need done soon. I have the trani biult (did my own suncoast IV) and might get EFI after I get some new injectors.

That's DKDiesel in Bellingham on the corner of Bakerview and Hannegan.
DJ the owner and Jason the service writer are good people. Been friends of mine for quite a few years now.
They will sell you parts for your install too.
DJ knows is way around the Duramax's quite well.
He can also EFI Live your truck too and has a lot of programs for it for whatever level you desire.
He just EFI'd my 07 Dodge with a mild tune on Friday. :IBCOOL:
Aftermarket inj are typically cheaper than new from the dealer. The after's come new from Bosch and are then EDM'd or extruded honed (depending who you buy from) for better efficiency than stock. You will see mild power gains and better mpg's out of a slight increase in injector size.
No, you don't need to mod your CP3 or do a mild tune for slightly oversized injectors. The CP3 is capable of pushing enough fuel from the stock lift pump so you don't drain the fuel rail. Anything larger than the lowest after markets will drain your fuel rail on full throttle runs.

The rebiult injectors are still going to be a problem. When it comes down to it the LB7 has something about it that causes it to eat injectors re-maned or not . Mine has about 260k on it and they are stock so I can't complain. Atleast they got them fixed for later generations of the Dmax. I'm not sure if I want to do mine or just sell it and get an LBZ and build it or drop a built LBZ into my 03

Shops that specialize in diesel trucks are pretty tuned in to what works on the trucks since they see them all the time. :twocents:
