Title: Hand Carved Decoys
Post by: Goldeneye on September 18, 2011, 03:12:39 PM
Finally pulled most of my hand carved decoys into one place in my house.  This is a collection I've put together over the years from various local and national carvers.  Some are cork and some are wood.  I think they are cool to have on display in the house.  1st pic is with the display case open and the 2nd is with it closed.  Thought I would share with you all.

Great looking decoys.  They are all new ones?  I haven't gotten into collecting the new pieces.  The ones I have set up are all old wooden gunning decoys that I have collected since a kid.  It's a fun hobby, but is expensive.

Yes, the two Harlis on top are done by Mintz.  Yes H2o, these are all un-hunted decoys.  I have a pretty good collection of the old hand carved hunted decoys too.  Just don't have a dedicated display for them as of yet.

Nice looking decoys. I live in Lake Stevens too and have a collection of old and new decoys. Did you go to the decoy show last Saturday in Oak Harbor? It was a good one!

Nah, I didn't drive up.  I had a friend that went up.  He reported similar.  I was too busy here trying to finish some stuff up before my Saskatchewan trip.  I'm leaving this coming Saturday so time is getting short.
