Title: Anyone draw west wenaha rifle elk?
Post by: washingtonmuley on September 19, 2011, 09:56:13 AM: Just curious if any members will be up in the west wenaha area for the elk hunt. I will be in the area to help my brother with his tag and would like to meet other members if they are in the area. Good luck to all.

Post by: stew pidasso on October 11, 2011, 07:55:32 PM: I did not draw the wenaha but I did draw the watershed for the first time. I grew up in Walla Walla and have hunted the west wenaha for 10 plus years. Will be camping 1 1/4 miles up road 46 off road 64 up on the left if you want to stop in. Biggest wall tent up there. Will be there from the 21st to the 7th if my wife doesn't find and kill me. So far so good though. I know of at least 2 to 4 400 bulls in the west unit right now. Going to be a great year.

Stew,
I will be hunting with my brother. I will promise you I will have some beer and I always have the whiskey ready. I wish I could promise the backstrap but it is hunting and I hate to promise something that I don't have in hand but if we are fortunate enough then it is yours as well.
