Seems like, in some places, this might be a good idea. The place I shot my deer last night is an ideal example. There is no whay I'd use a rifle there but, there are some good deer in the area and the last few days of modern kicks off the blacktail rut.

No I have not, but I will be doing so this year. I got permission to hunt 200 acres of private property but the landowner will only allow bow hunting. I applied for, and hoped to draw, the multi-season tag, so I could hunt the property with a bow during both the archery season and the modern firearm season. But I didn't draw multi-season, so I'll be out there during modern firearm with my bow.
I know boneaddict and bow4elk have both hunted quite a bit with a bow during modern firearm seasons.

I have never used a bow during the mod season, until this year. I have a few spots that I hunt during the early season and really want to see what's going to produce during the rut!

iRem- did you draw the multi-season this year?

YAAAAA buddy i also have access to private property that is borderline on the city limits, thats how i got my buck last year and i've been eyes balling a dandy 2x2 pie bald this year!!
My cam will be going up this weekend in prep to see who's passing through. I normally like to wait a a few days into the season so the pressure pushes them into me but i'll still be out on the opener because legend has it there is a monster 5x5 lurking.

I probably will this year, where I live is in a firearm restricted area, but only open archery during early season. My partner talked me into getting a rifle tag this year. I can hunt here during mod season with a shotgun, muzzle, or archery. Last year I let my bud's little brother hunt back there with a shot gun, he took a cow elk( perfectly legal), but it set off a chain of events that ended up with seven cowlitz co. sherrif deputies showing up with drawn ar15s. The shotgun is perfectly legal and legit, but I think my bow might be a bit less noticable to the local speed dialers.

I will be since I have the multi season tag....

I have before in firearm restricted areas. The majority of the deer I have killed are in my honeyhole and I would prefer to use a bow because its quiet and I dont want anyone figuring out my secret spot. In the last 15 years, we have probably taken 30+ deer out of there with both shotguns and bows.

I think im gunna give it a shot in MT this year but we'll see how much pressure there will be
