Title: Nocturnal Blacktail Buck
Post by: bobcat on September 22, 2011, 10:51:13 PM
I used to get lot of mid-morning and mid-afternoon pictures at this location. The last month or so, hardly any activity. But I did get this one buck just before midnight. This has nothing to do with hunting pressure either. This is private property and nobody has been hunting here. I'm kind of surprised how they've changed their daily routines so much since summer. It's the same story at other cameras I have scattered all over this area. I now believe what I've often heard other people say- blacktails cannot be patterned.

he looks like he is gonna be a good buck in a couple years, i cant tell but does he have eye guards? and as long as my family has been huntn the gray ghost we have came up with that same assumption, they have no ryme or reason why they do what they do and thats why they will always be the hardest critter to hunt in north america IMO..
