Good Lord, must be related to that horse. What a hog
-
Holy chit

:yike: :yike: :yike:
Details on the hunt :dunno:
-
Wow,
-
not sure. pics were sent to me by a friend. what a hog though. if i get the full story i ll post it.
-
Bull looks huge. He is long arming the heck out of it but if you look at the ears it does look very large. I would pull the trigger on that bull. I am looking forward to reading further information about this bull.
-
Couldn't find it on trophy watch........I would figure a bull of that size that was going to be measured by B&C would have made it on there.....
-
595 inches? That makes it pretty tough to believe that its a wild elk. Even the new world record Spyder Bull didn't even gross 500 inches and this supposedly beats it by nearly 100 inches? Its an impressive animal but I'm very skeptical of it being eligible for the boone and crockett. Especially since it isn't on the trophy watch section of their website.
-
I would have thought such a beast would have gotten a lot more attention on the net. That's big though.
-
High fenced *censored*
-
What Bigtine said......

big bull no doubt. But i have to say MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! no way that thing is wild. if it was we all would of heard about it by now.
-
Judging by the lack of other info elsewhere regarding this bull on the world wide web, I gotta guess it came from a high fence ranch. Also, the fact that he is not surrounded by a crew of 12 guys all wearing Mossback attire just about proves it's from a high fence operation. If this bull were in existence in the wild, I am quite sure that Mossback would have not only known about it, but probably would have had it saddle broke and tied to a tree for a hunter! :twocents:
-
I would need a spotter just to pack one of his sheds out of the woods :chuckle:
I love the third picture...It's a big bull, no doubt about it. So I don't see reason to sit 10 yards away to take the picture
-
It'd be tough but, I think I'd have to let him walk. Not quite the size I'm looking for. Maybe take him on the last day of the season.

cant wait wait to hear the story so until then i will be a skeptic as well, but it is one hell of a bull, but i think its a ranch bull as well

Agreed. His 12th's are a little weak.
-
It's crazy what a few high fences and some special food will grow....

What a toad

Not hating the messenger at all. "Pending World Record" is just something that needs to be verified and its certainly going to be scrutinized is all we are saying. Obviously a high fence animal wouldn't qualify, so we're just looking for the facts surrounding the hunt.
-
yeah. we were thinking maybe off the rez down there possible too. ive been looking around to varify some of the story but no leads any where. im a rez hunter over here in the blues and we ve had lots of opportunities to shoot some pigs for bulls. i couldnt imagine a bull of this size in the wild any where.
-
I agree with most, you have to think farm bull when you see one like this.
As far as the 595" score, a little high I'd say. Still friggin huge though.
-
Wow, How much it cost for those tag. :yike: I wonder.
Mulehunter.
-
:yike: someones gotta have the sheds off that thing from the year before
-
everything about that pic screams high fence. The bull, and the guy!!! :)
-
wow big-un. I dont think a farm bull would taste any different

:yeah:

Its a huge bull but I dont think it gets to the 600" mark
-
Looks just like the bull I passed up on with the Bumping tag a few years ago... figured to much hassle to pack it out.... :yike: :chuckle:
-
Either way if it's a high fence or wild; he is a stud. If it is a high fence you know it cost someone a pretty penny. Back home in Coeur d'Alene, ID there is a taxidermist I used to get my first mount done; the owner is good friends with the guy that bought the rights to reproduce the Spider Bulls antlers. Well he used this same taxidermist to reproduce 10 Spider Bull mounts. I saw one set of the replicas sitting on the ground and picked them up. I was the only one that recognized them immediately from what he said. I picked up both sides at once and dang those things weighed alot... I can't even imagine what the taxi bill is going to be for this one if it is indeed 595". Is there even a form made that can hold that much weight?
-
"Agreed. His 12th's are a little weak."
Thanks, Skillet. I just snorted Mt. Dew onto my keyboard......
-
That is a monster, I couldnt imagine that stepping in front my tree stand :yike:
-
According to a recent post on the elk forum at Monstermuleys, this bull was killed by Daniel Baeza of NM on Rulon Jones' Broadmouth Canyon Ranch in Idaho. That post says the bull scores 535 SCI and was one of 4 bulls killed by the Baeza hunting party. If this is correct, then definitely a high fence bull.
-
I wonder if he tranquilized it I dont see any exit wounds? :dunno:
Nice bull though!
-
He is on my huntaholics facebook and i contacted his wife.
i found a ton more photos and i am asking him/her if i can share them.
it was in idaho.
Broadmouth Canyon Ranch is where it was shot out of their spike camp. Thing is a beast, but most that come off there are.

-
If that thing came in to me I think I'd end up sending an arrow clacking off its antlers...

-
The first "new world record" rumor of the year! :fishin: :lol4: :lol4: :lol4: :lol4: (oh, and if you don't completely believe it you're a "HATER".
-
No matter what, that bull is a mass. Good for him. Wow :yike:
-
Thanks for the post igotbigbulls, even though it's probably a high fence elk I still like looking at photos of big elk.
Don't worry about some of the unfriendly comments, that is to be expected on the internet where people aren't talking face to face in a more personal fashion.
-
"Founded in 1989 by lifetime hunter and former NFL All-Pro Rulon Jones, Broadmouth Canyon Ranch originally offered free range hunts on 25,000 acres of exclusively private ground in the rugged Rocky Mountains of northern Utah for Mule Deer, Elk and Shiras moose. Wanting to offer more, we created a 5,000-acre elk hunting preserve while still maintaining a very fair chase feeling. "

That is an awsome Bull regardless, if it was a farm bull. Congrats to the hunter. I like his Viper also!!
-
Just curious, but is that this year?? Cause I know that the antlers have to "age" for (don't quote me) 30 days to be considered for b&c. Just wondering
-
What a cool bull! I love the last pic where the hunter is sitting about 80 feet behind it in the pic :chuckle:

I think the "Drying Period" is 90 days.........

i personally think that this thread should be in the photography forums instead of a hunting forum.. just my opinion

My favorite quote. " Maintaining a fair chase feeling" Thats like calling the Hooters waitress, or a hooker your girlfriend.

:chuckle:

NICE 12k rite there! congrats! :chuckle:

Or on a farming forum
-
Incredible bull, regardless of its origin. If one like that came to my bugle, I think I'd put down my bow and walk out of the woods for good. I'd also need new pants.
-
I almost wonder it it was knocked out by a tranquilzer. I don't see any wounds on the elk :dunno: Either way I would love to be the guy sitting next to that elk:drool:

OMG this is hilarious :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
as for the bull :dunno: but I'd shoot it
-
Hell I would shoot him... may be a ranch hunt.. but guaranteed they are not hand fed, tame animals....
-
It's funny how the Gov tag dude is here paying WAAAYYYY more money than 12K to go after a bull that's quite a bit "smaller" than that one... just to get his name in the record books. Go ahead and cough up the dough to compete with Agnew and that Denny spider-Bull guy but really... I don't think that any of us are gonna consider tham "hunters" any time soon!! :twocents:

You'd need 2 14' orchard ladders to get over that fence. :twocents:
-
Ya, i take that 12k coment back, its 35k!!

Are you sure you can back up that guarantee? :chuckle: That "stud" bull has probably been jacked off into a cup more than that dude jumping with the umbrella!
Oh crap! Is that a man of the cloth? Oh well, I'm probably going to hell anyway.
-
Wow, 35k to "hunt" that elk as they described on ebay. Not my type of hunting but to some its all about the ego. Years down the road with it hanging on the wall, it was a chase ofa lifetime :bash: :bash:
-
I would pass that bull up, don't think i could afford to build a house around it at this moment. Besides, my wife would probably use it to hang the clean laundry off of instead of the circle chair! :chuckle:
