Hey everyone, I am looking for a decent place to go grouse hunting in western washington. I am from Maine and hunted over there a lot and the forest's are quite a bit different out here. Any input would be greatly appreciated and don't be afraid to let me know of a good spot! I live in Seattle now and the city is killing me. I need to get out in the woods! Thanks guys

I don't know how it is out in Maine but alot of people here are "afraid to let you know of a good spot". There is a magazine that you can pick up at any 7-11. This might give a few areas to try. In general the farther you drive away from Seattle the better the hunting can be. The good news is we have more types of birds. Quail is a good hunt here and this year was a good hatch according to the reports I have seen.

J...I suggest you buy a map of the MT. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and do some exploring. Hunt the abandoned slash roads and gated off roads with a combition of berries, alder and water and GOLLY...you'll find grouse!
