Title: Not a deer, but just as exciting.
Post by: MHWASH on September 25, 2011, 04:30:46 PM
Started the morning off by spotting a 6pt bull elk, fairly uncommon on the Snake River. Passed up a small 3pt muley, but when he took off running he also took a shooter buck with him that I did not see! Finished off the day by calling in a shooting a coyote with my muzzy! A first for me.  Called him in from 300 yards, he came in as close as 25, but must have winded me and took off runnin. Barks did not stop him, so I took a chance @ 94 yards and pulled the trigger. The picture shows where he came from and where I shot, just before he went back into the nearest draw. After the shot I saw two more run into the large brush patch where I called them from.
