A few bucks in the area. The spike is in pretty bad shape. He had some sort of tumor growing on his back this summer and has lost a lot of weight.

Help him out. If you don't want to use your tag then you can get a kid to take him :dunno: I don't like to see animals in misery.
-
I would love to have my daughter take him out but he is always on private land during the day.
-
maybe talk to the land owner and give them a heads up on that spikes condition, maybe they will let your daughter help the poor fella out..

I already tried that...no luck. Tree huggers from out of town own the land. They ask me not to come on their property again and have posted no trespass signs everywhere.

What a *censored* waffle they are, people like that make me sick. Just like the ones who drive down the road, and swerve just to hit something.

maybe a big pile of apples will coax the little spike to head to your place during the huntn season so the little lady can get a crack at him.. good luck, i hope the little lady gets a shot at a buck. aint nothin greater than seeing a youngster connect on their first animal..

You may be able to talk with the Fish and Game Department and have them issue you a second tag to take out the spike. If it has a disease they do not want that spreading into the healthy deer population. I had a friend who shot a spike on his property and it did not look like yours but you could tell it was sick. Come to find out it had some parasite that could have infected more deer in the area. He had fish and game come out and they confescated the deer, issued him a new tag and thanked him for contacting them. Just a thought, it may be worth it and you don't want to risk the health of other deer.

Thanks for the info.

That is sad, contact wdfw and see if they will come and cull it before it spreads.
