Title: The Gates are all still Locked
Post by: Chris on September 28, 2011, 10:28:27 AM
I drove between Vader and PeEll this morning checking the gates and looking for deer. They are all still locked. I was told by a Werehaeuser driver that due to vandalism they were considering not opening many or even all of the gates. I hope he was pulling my leg. I guess time will tell.

Does anyone have the scoop on this?

I thought their plan was to leave the entire Pe Ell area gated, so that only Weyerhaeuser employees can drive in and hunt. Have you tried calling the access hotline?

they made rock creek east to the shop walk in only unless you are an employee.  They also put a new gate on forks creek and put a red dot on it.  A line is also shut and red dotted.  I imagine they will keep all of them locked.  It was for archery season.
