I got real lucky, I have been thinking  about it for awhile but This is the first year I put in and got drawn.. I know some people that have been trying  for years. You can day hike without a permit you just  cant stay  the night but I definately would stay the night for at least a couple nights.. And get in shape for  it. Asguard pass with a big pack is not easy..
