I have a .257 roberts in mint condition, got it 25 years ago and havent shot 100 rounds thru it , its a sweet rifle with a walnut stock, Im not sure if its got enough knock down power for deer hunting so I dont use it at all, my son uses a 243 and I use a 270 if rifle hunting, Im thinking about selling or trading it, I dont do much varmit hunting and am trying to decide if this rifle is one I want to keep.

It's got enough juice for deer. Cartridges are spendy, but such is life.

It's plenty gun for deer.

I trying to decide if its worth keeping, it sounds like from the comments made that its plenty good for deer hunting, I just havent used it in years and might just have to dust it off.

Trust me, it's worth keeping. I have a model 70 featherweight in .270, the first rifle my Dad bought me back in 1982. I will never get rid of it.
