i have been wanting a coyote skull to mount and a guy pays up to 300 a pelt so i was thinking alright great way to pay for collage well i have been hunting for them for two years and no luck i have been using the primos raspy coaxer maybe im just not using it right. any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance, jj
-
THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS? Or thirty dollars? If you know someone who pays $300 for a coyote, please PM me with a name and phone number.
-
I could be completely wrong on this but $300 for a coyote pelt, really? :dunno: Just did a quick search online and around $100 will buy you a finished coyote pelt.
I think there would be a lot more predator hunters in Washington if that were the case...you may need to do a little more research.
-
Now a good bobcat might get that much. But not a coyote. I'd be hunting coyotes a heck of a lot more if that was the case.
-
He said, He "wants" a guy to pay $300, not is "paying $300" for a coyote hide.
-
I can't see any coyote pelt ever being worth $300.
When I'm done with them, they ain't worth 30 cents, that 243 can tear 'em up! :chuckle:
-
geeeez whatever he is smokin I need some :chuckle: if that was the case I would not be pounding nails ,I would be reloading alot more bullets :dunno: :chuckle:
-
Man if I could get 300 a yote I could quit my job and just wack and stack
-
$300? I don't think the hides are fully prime yet. And I haven't seen the buyer in Brewster advertise yet. I'm calling BS on this...
-
He said, He "wants" a guy to pay $300, not is "paying $300" for a coyote hide.
That's ok. I'd be happy with just getting the measly $250 like his friend got. :IBCOOL:
-
So I wonder what he'd pay for a prime one.
-
300 is for a prime one that is y my buddy got 250 each he has been taking them up there for a couple years so he is the biggest provider for the guy so he pays him a bit more than he would the average guy.
-

Actually, anything for a stinkin' coyote hide would be good.
-
That seems a bit odd to me!
-
I'm quitting my job and becoming a coyote hunter. Can you give us a number to call this buyer in brewster? I can't imagine what he'll give me for bobcat hides...

:chuckle: Me too!
-
i put a 22cal in one ear and out the other, so no bullet holes at all. Then used my dads tirck of the air compresser in a small slit you would be cutting anyway to inflate the hide and detach it, no knife marks and only got 75... I need to go see this guy!
-
At the height of Fur prices, jumbo prime western yotes were fetching upwards near $125, this was back in the late 70s. The going rate for a prime coyote right now is $30 to $55. I don't believe anyone in this state or even in this world is paying $300. Shoot you could buy prime skinned and tanned taxidermy quality yotes for less than $199 right now from Moscow Hide and Fur.
-
You guys aint getting it.
He's paying 300 a pelt for northern gray canadian yotes you know the big ones??? :chuckle:
just kidding.. but hell for 300 a pelt i'll friggin raise them in a pen and feed em bear turds and leftovers till they are at premium harvest...
-
You guys aint getting it.
He's paying 300 a pelt for northern gray canadian yotes you know the big ones??? :chuckle:
Then he's UNDER paying. I beleive wolves will be going close to $450-$500 for prime Idaho wolves this winter.
-
i hate to be be the one to break it to ya 509hunter but your buddy is full of crap and is lieing to you big time or just maybe... he found the dummest rich guy in Northern America.. It is possible..

I've been told that the Veterinarian in Davenport buys whole coyotes. Don't know for sure though.
-
if i got $30 for a coyote pelt prices would be great this year! last time i checked it was about $20 for a real nice male....by the way nothing you do with one coyote makes it worth $300

I have a primos coaxer and I have never called one in with it. I really like the green mouthpiece on my lil dog - I use it without the horn and it does well. It also will do good yips, barks, ki-yi's too. I have seen a dog way out across a field and called him with an electronic call (powerdogg) and watched in him ignore it, then I called with the coaxer, nothing, couldnt care less. Then I started with some rabbit distress on the lil dog and he immediately came running on a bee line right to me. Since then I've been sold. I also have done well with my FoxPro Firestorm but those aint real cheap for a out of work college guy. And I am a BIG fan of my Quiver Critter Rabbit decoy too, had them come in and bust me and still come back cuz they wanted that rabbit so bad. Last peice - my buddy has some bearmanric calls too and they sound and work killer. Great price, look good too. Get yourself one of those! Good luck dude!

But they are GREAT for those early morning hunts where you went to bed too late and got up too early, have a damn headache and dont want to blow on the call. Just sit back, drink coffee and wait for something to come in. (or if you are like FC, take a dang nap!) :dunno: :chuckle:
-

he does, and he usually takes the hides from the coyotes fromt he Warden Coyote derby. Last year he said the because prices we so low, and we had so damn many of them he didn't want them last year.
If there is a guy that buys them in brewster he needs to get in contact witht the Warden Lion's club. The contest is the 1st weekend in Feb. :twocents:
there is normally between 80-120 coyotes taken, and last year there were soem really good looking ones.
-
(or if you are like FC, take a dang nap!) :dunno: :chuckle:
The ball bustin' continues :liar:.... :chuckle: I was NOT asleep! At least I don't get outfished on my own boat :P :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: not too often anyway...
-
Hey dont you mean it was nice of me to LET you guys catch the fish first! I was taking care of my NON PAYING customers! :chuckle: Hey, I put on a late afternoon push and would have gotten my own limit (and probably before you) if Nick hadnt made a pig of himself and kept 5 fish!
-
nope its 300 it is up in brewster washington one of my buddies already took 2 up there and got 250 a peice i was with him
Bullch*t. Throw a name out then. Must be some blow involved also for $250.
-
:yeah:
-
This is great news! I'm going to quit my job tomorrow and become a full time coyote hunter!
-
I just called my boss and quit my job. My wife is furious, but I reassured her I got it all figured out. Now to dig out my yote calls. :IBCOOL: :chuckle:
-

-
total BS...nobody anywhere is paying that ...unless its a government project.... :chuckle:
-
I happen to know all 4 vendors of gas in Brewster(3 mini marts and 2 card locks), and can tell you not one of them is paying anything for coyotes. Who the Hell in their right mind would be buying at this time of the year anyway? Hope the blow stayed fresh crammed up that yotes arse!
-
Dudes, dudes, dudes....whats with all the hostility man?! :dunno: :chuckle:
This guy is not trying to get anyone to take one up there. If he can get that much for it, fine, more power to him. If he cant, well I guess he'll find out when he takes one up there. Either way he's just looking for some advice right? 509 - if you really do know someone to pay that much I'd just keep it as your own little secret anyway and milk it for all you can! :twocents:
-
I wonder how fresh they have to be? I have the remnants of all the coyotes that have gotten curious about our rabbit hutch piled somewhere near the back of my property. I may even throw in the leftovers of the raccoons that thought my garage was an all you could eat catfood buffett as well for a very resonable price
-
dont know his name he owns one of the gas stations up there and if u look it up u can sell a coyote rug for about 1000 and he knows how to tan the hide him self so he is making proffit of of it dont call bullsh!t if u dont know the facts please and thanks
yeh in case you didnt notice a rug (i assume you mean blanket) takes about what 12 coyotes? buy coyotes for $4000 + time and supplies then sell it for $1000, im not calling bs im just saying your full of crap and straight up wrong, why dont you call george brady and find out what a coyote is really worth, they wont even buy coyotes this time of year, they arent worth a dime
-
Who the hell is getting $1000.00 for a coyote rug . I guess I should quit throwing them away and start rugging them . Heck at 1,000 I could quite doing taxidermy for the public and just do 30 Coyote rugs a year and sell them for a grand :bash:
-
$300 dollars a pelt? most people pay less then thirty... Wonder why he is over paying so much...
As far as your calling goes Wind direction and movement play a lot bigger part in calling coyotes then the actual sound.
-
:bs: :bs: :bs:  :bs: :bs: :bs:
This guy also has 10 friends who all killed bears in the first 3 days of bear season up Wynoochee, a place I grew up hunting and have yet to kill a bear in.
-
lets see... one yote per day times 200 days per year at $300 per yote equals $60,000 a year.
"Hey Boss, I quit." :bdid:
-
Me and my hunting partner have a place know a furrier in Pateros he pay's $15, $20 if huge and in perfect shape.. mind you that was last year, prices might have gone up a little this year.... But $300... Yeeeeeah NO......
-
One of the guys that buys coyote hides in Brewster is a retired game warden. Probably not the same guy I bet. Don't know if he still does or not. :dunno:
-
Ok Gang,
Got it! There are no less than 30 posts "correcting" this! Hey, did anyone realize that opening day of deer is 4 days away? Sure is nasty weather out there! Anyone watching their investments taking a poop? Saw 7 forest grouse, two doe and alot of deer sign down south of Enumclaw on Saturday. Looking forward to hunting with the kids this weekend! :IBCOOL: (So much more to talk about, dont you think?)
