Title: chukar hunting areas

I have hunted quail and pheasant but have not hunted char yet, I have heard of them being in the ellensburg area and yakima.
I am driving from the Everett area.
Not wanted someone's hunny hole but just wanting to know where there is public land that has chukar

Lots of public land on the west side of the yakima in the canyon, looks like good chukar hunting, never hun ted there before though.

I hunted three different spots in the Yakima area hard for two days and didn't see a bird.  Very discouraging.
