A buddy and myself will be hunting late archery in 101. Didn't have much luck with it last year. Went up yesterday around Trout Lake, west of Bisbee Mt., and saw what seems to be good whitetail country. Anyone here taken a buck from that area? Heading up again tomorrow to set up cams and get bait piles out; gotta get the does coming in. From what we saw last year the unit gets pounded with hunters. We wanna get away from the crowds. Would this area be a good place to set up? Any and all info welcome, thanks.

That never even crossed my mind, but I'll definitely wait until after rifle season to put bait out.

If you bait, you will most likely bring in bears. It all depends on what you are baiting with.

The bears are bad up there this year.
