Title: Blind Materials
Post by: aaron42ash on October 11, 2011, 07:43:24 AM
Does anyone know the official rules on using cat tails as blind material on your duck boat?  I have cat tails growing in the ditch at my place, and I would like to use them and save the money on something like Fastgrass etc.  I know that transporting aquatic plants is illegal and all, but are these in the same category if they're dried?  Maybe I should call the dnr?

Its a good question, however i have seen many oa duck boat on the Skagit Bay that has them tied to the boat... Since they grow there anyway i would imagine its ok... could be wrong tho... I think the aquatic plants problem could be eliminted if you left the seedportion of the cattail off the boat and just used the grass.  :twocents: Thats what i'm going to do..
