Hey guys, and places to hunt around Greenwater any more? I used to do really good during elk season around there but haven't been there in years and don't think I can make it east this year. I've heard the hunting opportunities have become pretty limited around there in the last 10 years. Any deer left?
Thanks.

I haven't seen to many deer (or elk) in that area and the WDFW harvest reports for deer in units 466 & 653 are pretty bad. Better for bear iaround greenwater in my opinion. Good luck!

Deer hunting can be tough up there. The deer numbers are way down, and the hunter numbers seem to be way up. I see lots and lots of people up there all year long.

I think it's draw only for elk...
I used to hunt there, too, but haven't for a long time. Probably pretty grown up and brushy.

Ive archery hunted up in greenwater for the past 6 years and the bucks Ive seen were large and a very long distance away. but its good area to find a bear, cougar, bobcat, or a potential buck in also. Windy gap area and down sawmill are the areas I see most of the deer.
