Title: I am so jealous !!
Post by: big game hunter on October 15, 2011, 05:50:05 PM
My father and I were up at 3:00 and was at the boat launch at 4:00 as we got ready to start the motor we found a gas leak and was spraying everywhere as we pumped gas into the engine we finally manage to get it started and took off but only got about 100 yards then it died and had a stressful row back and a nice quiet ride home!! :bash: :bash: :bash: We finally got it fixed later today but having a tough time convincing my dad to go out tomorrow instead of going bear hunting. :dunno: :dunno:

I see you are from Castle Rock.  Figured I would ask a few questions if you don't mind .....  I just moved to Camas, WA last year and finally bought a little 14' jon boat for duck hunting.  I only know of a few places with in 1.5 hours of my house and was hoping you could point me in the right direction for some duck hunting from a boat.  I have been looking at hunting Silver Lake, but wasn't sure if it'd be worth my time to drive out there to hutng ducks.  I mostly hunt Vancouver Lake, but with the pheasant season still going on it'd difficult to hunt with shotgun shots and barking dogs  :bash: Anyways, I am definitely not looking for your honeyholes, but maybe a push in the right direction would be appreciated.  - Thanks for your help.

in my opinion the best convincing method would be go scouting... find a $*@! ton of ducks and take a picture of them, then take it back to show your dad. When he see's a $*@! ton of ducks, that will convince him  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Try Reed Island on the Columbia just east of Camas.
