Title: Cordura pants
Post by: addicted on October 17, 2011, 12:39:14 AM
I've got a worn out pair of levi 505's with a few holes and the wife has been pushing me to get new jeans. Not wanting to throw away a good pair of jeans i figured i'd try to fix them up.

I ordered a yard of 1000D Forest green cordura and i'm going to see if I can have the local taylor stitch them into some upland brior pants for me.  I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I think i should be able to waterproof the cordura pretty easily .

Getting green with recycling an old pair of jeans
lol
Interesting idea, how much did that cost as opposed to buying some from cabelas?

the ones at cabelas are 90-130$ depending on which ones you get.

I got enough cordura to do 2 pairs of pants for about 15$ and the tayloring was about 30 bucks which i think would be cheaper in the states.
