I was curious what to expect in this GMU in general, lots of hunters? what are the elk numbers like? any info would be appreciated fellas, thanks
-
i take it you haven't read the harvest reports for 2010? the reason it is an any elk hunt is because there are no elk
-
to be honest, i dont pay much attention to harvest report numbers because numbers r like bikini models, they show a lot but not everything, so just thought maybe somebody on here had some info, never hurts to ask

There are elk in that GMU. My experience is they are on private land. It is also very weather dependant...if it snows elk will move into that gmu. Good Luck

Few and far between! Most are on the north side of the hill 90% of the time. I put a lot of miles on this year to find great spots, covered with cat sign :bash: I have hunted hard up on this mountain for 5 years and only taken one elk off of it.

Good luck should be able to bag a truckload of pumpkins... No elk to speak of in the unit, we are up there all summer through the late fall
