just got my deer this morning at 8:30 i left the house late at 8:19. got up to my spot and started to hike in and out of nowhere pops up 4 doe and then a 3x2 with eye guards it was a easy 25 yard shot and he dropped but not good enough then i put another one in his chest right thru the lungs he kept trying to get up so i grabed my moms 30-06 and shot it in the back of the head.  now i can say i got my first buck  :IBCOOL:

thanks bone yea we had a great tim gonna head back up in an hour or so and try and get my moms buck

congrats, thats a good sized deer!  What were you shooting it with before the 30-06?

300 wsm and yea he is a nice deer. its weight  skined and head off was 158 lbs and the spread on his antlers was 16 in. dont know how to score him so im not even gonna guess

well my mom missed a nice 3x2 this mornig come to find out the rifle was a foot
 high

Congrats on your first buck! Did you run out of bullets on yours and had to switch to another gun to finish it :dunno:

no just didnt wanna damage the meat or skull with mine so i chose to shoot ir in the back of the head with the 06
