:bash: any one heard any thing on how the deer are doing
-
Whitetails around Colville seem to be doing great, at least in my neck of the area. We have several fawns and healthy does running around and the big bucks are sporting velvet and can be seen on a regular basis. Have not gone up higher to check on the Muley yet though.
-
yes lots of deer in that area my dad lives by there just havent got to check on the mulies yet
-
I haven't heard anything but when I went out last weekend a saw a lot of does and fawns.

There is a sustantial loss of whitetails in the Deer Park and Clayton area where I live and scout.Just my field where I live I average on any given night in the summer I can count 40-60 deer in in it over the last 6 years every night, this year be lucky to see 20 usually like 15 not good.I talked my buddy at the archery shop and others in the area are seeing a decrease in deer in the area. Just got spoiled over the last several years still lots of deer just nothing I am use to seeing.

Haven't found any winter kill out in the SE part of the state, but there's plenty of low ground for them to get to around here.

It only takes one to be there opening day. :chuckle:

They look pretty good in Pend Oreille County.
-
The winter knocked them back pretty good. There are not as many deer in the alfalfa fields, I'd say less
than half of what there was last year. (Deer Park / Elk area)
-
eastwaviking totally agree
-
It wasn't the winter. It was all you farmers running the poor little sons a bitches over with your bailers!!! :chuckle:

I dont get what thats supposed to mean... Its way over my head.. Can anyone translate for me? The only thing I can think of is that he doesnt want bow hunters in Ok county, and for us to keep thinking all the deer are small.. Either way Ok county is over rated... Trust me I live here.. I dont hunt this county.. There are some big bucks but not as many as there used to be.. Not since people started writing about it.. I wish you the best of luck..

No bickering kids!
The winterkill was devastating in the Methow. If you don't believe that, well then thats your choice and gas money. I hear the wolf hunting is getting better though. (I'll catch hell for that one)
