Title: Grouse on the hood
Post by: winshooter88 on October 24, 2011, 05:29:20 PM
On Thursday my brother and I were out looking over some new area for deer. We were driving up the road and came around a corner, and on the side of the road was a white Toyota pickup parked. Inside the truck were two small dogs. On the hood of the truck looking in at the dogs was the biggest blue grouse we had ever seen. We stopped and tried to get a picture but the bird flew up into a tree before we could. My brother shot the grouse and we got it. I never expected to see a grouse setting on a truck like that one was. The dogs in the truck never barked or even looked excited. The owner of the truck was nowhere in sight. we checked the area with binos and there was no one in sight.

Man that is hilarious.  One time my hunting partner and I were rounding a corner on a logging road and out popped a suicide rabbit crossing the road.  We braked and swerved and the rabbit, no kiddin, jumped up on the hood of the rig, did a rainbow style arcing run on the windshield and leaped of the other side and into the bushes.  I have a lot more respect for rabbits now...haha
