So I failed to connect on high buck, and only got out to hunt 2 days during modern rifle so far. I have this thu and fri off- but the areas I know best will be off season. I did almost close the deal on a black bear feeding on a slope last week..
So do I head out for points unknown looking for a deer and hope that bear is in the same area after modern, or do I head back to the same spot this week with the sole purpose of getting that bear???
Gotta say I am leaning towards that bear!

Then go for the bear.... I'd go find a new deer area that is open longer and get to learn it a little so you always have a back up place if you don't tag out again early..... Who knows what you might find..... Or run into.... :twocents:

Go for the deer and bear area, If your luck is like mine if you went to an area closed for deer you would end up seeing the biggest deer of your life.

I'd say go for the bear. But thats me and I am a little biased. I did that opening day looking for a bear I saw earlier and shot a dandy of a buck. :IBCOOL: (assuming where the bear is deer is open too)

Vote Bear.

that is a pretty sweet looking bear, I'd definately be going in after him. Love the color on him.

ok.. I am thinking bear too..
Gotta do a little research- if this guy will likely be out on the same slope, time of day etc.
I do hope he runs down hill.. or drops flat when hit!
