Literally! My Buddy's dog went on point and I went over into this hellishly thick cover to help the dog kick it up. Well as i walked over to where the dog was I stepped down and my foot kinda went crunch. Then I felt movement underneath. I'll be damned if i didn't just step on a wild rooster. It is now very apparent I need to go on a diet as my fat a$$ crushed that poor bird to death! Crazy huh? Anybody ever do that?

Yup! When I first startled hunting at Kosmos, I was out on my fifth outing without so much as putting up a bird. I saw a hawk dive in the brush and proceeded to Direct my lab to that spot. He was scratching all over in the tall marsh grass when I felt something under my foot. A rooster was trying to get his head under my heel. So....crunch!
