Well, only 3 more days for ewa elk. To all who have been out all week, my hat's off. I'm a weekend warrior this season because of work and all the other time I've taken for deer hunting, if I took more i'd end up unemployed or divorced ; probably both!
Looks like we'll have weather, but most elk are either dead or in the thick and steep. Time to muster the energy and eternal optimism.
good luck guys

It looks like I wont be getting in to the place I want this weekend but we'll see. I got a baby do this month and its putting a dent in where I can go :chuckle:

Oh come on :chuckle: my buddy has his first baby due any day and he just left to go elk hunting on the westside all week.

I notice a lot of guys aren't thinking 9 months in advance before knocking the wife or girlfriend up. Shame on them :chuckle:

Demontang...LOL. I planned my wedding for sept 15 purposely no interference with big game and duck hunting seasons. ~We now get to celebrate our anniversary on the Tieton during rafting season....and I sneek away for a morning of grouse hunting before she wakes up. LOL
Also I employed the new strategy this year of just sending the wife a doz red roses out of the blue to her office. All the other chicks in her office (it's a chick dominated office) go ga ga over it and it makes the wife feel special. Gives me anti dog house points.
Also no kids helps. : :chuckle:

I did that as well, also September 15th. And then I switched from rifle to archery elk. Oops! I tell my wife that we can either celebrate anniversaries in elk camp or move it to a different day. Her choice. See what a great guy I am? :chuckle:
