anyone but me having problem with the primos truth cams?
my SD card was all wet, had the boot installed properly but water got in from the top and worked its way down thru the camera to the bottom where the SD card slot is.
I open up the cam and there isn't much waterproofing, I think water got in from the backside as I had the camera angled slightly downwards then followed the grooves along the back and inside the battery compartment
lost 4-5 days worth of pics once the SD card got wet it was game over. I got it dried out with a hair dryer and recovered about 6 days worth of pics.
I don't think I'll be buying primos cams

I know it doesn't help right now since you need the cam but talk to primos customer service. I am positive they will work something out with you. Especially if the camera is fairly new. They are a great company.

:yeah:
mine did the same thing after a heavy rain.. called them up and in the process of getting it shipped back to them and a replacement coming. the customer service was a breeze to deal with.

It seems that would be quite the hassle though, having to send your Primos cam in to customer service every time it rains. :bash:

Ive had a Primos Truth Cam60 for a couple years now and never had that problem. :dunno:

That's good to hear because the Truth Cam 60 is the next trail camera I intend to purchase. (mainly because I already have an external battery that will plug right in to it)
But I also hear they are pretty good cameras for the money.

My biggest complaint would be that you dont have a 5 min delay option, it goes from 10 sec, 15sec, 30sec, to 1min, 30 min, 60 min. :bash: A five min delay would be alot nicer because sometimes i am getting 350+ pics a night on the 1 min delay, and I dont want to use the 30min delay as I have some bucks that only come in for 5-15 mins at a time. Other than that im very satisfied with it.

I can see where something between 1 minute and 30 minutes would be handy sometimes. But then I've got a couple of cheap Tascos that have no settings for a time delay whatsoever. So sometimes I get 300+ pictures in just 3 or 4 days. It would be nice to even have just a 1 minute delay. I agree- 30 minutes is definitely too long. I'm not sure I'd ever have a use for that much time between pictures.

just checked mine two days ago, same problem

I have a couple of the Primos 46 cams. Bought them last spring, the first one quit working the end of July or early August. Sent it back and got a new one pronto. The other original took a dump several weeks ago, basically the same problem, sent it back and am waiting for the new cam to arrive. Just got an email from Primos saying they were out of stock and waiting for a shipment from their manufacturer.
I like the cams, easy to program, take good pics and videos, easy on batteries, but I wish they'd make them to last. I run a bead of silicone around the edge of the lid to help keep water out.
