They never acknowledge the fact that driving, logging, dog *censored*, cows etc cause more of an impact than a few gun shooters in an area. Typical liberal crap !!!!!!!!!! :tree1: :liar:

"urbanites freak out when they hear gun fire"
wow, woooow. thats the best they can come up with for logical reasoning urbanites freak out at the sound of gun fire, give me a stinking break
"its a social conflict" yeah and it is also when i get scolded by some dirt worshiping tree hugging peta sympathizer about how i dare shoot poor defenseless animals and eat them instead of buying free range hormone free organic beef at the grocery store where no animals are killed in the process.
so on the same argument that its a social conflict that could potentially take me out of the woods because some "urbanite" freaks out at the sound of gun fire, i propose that we ban the above described yogurt heads from public places because i tend to "freak out" when scolded over my choice of lifestyle.

I heard they charged a guy shooting in a national park with trying to assassinate him today. And he was on the opposite coast when the shots were fired. I guess those AKs have bicoastal range.

I bet the Seattle, Tacomaites hear more gunshots in a day than I do in a month. Better ban those two cities.

The Following was taken from part of the article.
The overall point is that the WHHCC and the BLM are still in talks about the language to be used in the policy. So, it’s way too soon to be suggesting that what was written in an earlier draft will be enacted or imply that shooters are being pushed off of public land.
Additionally, there is no direct link to President Obama or his Administration. In fact, by the time the policy is adopted, sometime after the 2012 election, there’s a decent chance Obama will be out of office.

They (Liberals when in power) always manage to find sneaky ways to make our Constitution moot with under the table, appointee regulations that just stop every forearm related activity in its tracks. I guess that George Soros has has bought and paid for the Constitutional changes that he wanted. They will happen in ways that we did not expect but the bottom line is that we lose our rights just the same.

Take a look at a prior post:

We need to write our representatives at the time these things come to our attention.

Obama Pushing Shooters Off Public Lands
November 16, 2011 RSS Feed Print Gun owners who have historically been able to use public lands for target practice would be barred from potentially millions of acres under new rules drafted by the Interior Department, the first major move by the Obama administration to impose limits on firearms.
Officials say the administration is concerned about the potential clash between gun owners and encroaching urban populations who like to use same land for hiking and dog walking.
"It's not so much a safety issue. It's a social conflict issue," said Frank Jenks, a natural resource specialist with Interior's Bureau of Land Management, which oversees 245 million acres. He adds that urbanites "freak out" when they hear shooting on public lands. [Read about the subpoena issued as a result of Operation Fast and Furious.]
If the draft policy is finally approved, some public access to Bureau lands to hunters would also be limited, potentially reducing areas deer, elk, and bear hunters can use in the West.
Pay attention here guys, if "finally approved, some public access to Bureas lands to hunters would also be limited.... Now we have this "social conflict" standard for banning hunters from public owned land. Not for safety issues, not for environmental issues, but SOCIAL CONFLICT.
