Title: Longbell Road
Post by: sneakyjake on November 26, 2011, 08:53:28 AM
Just curious if anyone can tell me the status of the gate on Longbell South of Mossyrock.  I thought someone said it was closed earlier this year.   Also, has the property changed hands?  Is it a pay pay permit now.  See some posts of people going to a spot they like and having it posted, just want to be prepared.  Thanks.  One more week for me and I can get my kill on.

The Weyerhaeuser recording says that the gates will be open for the Thanksgiving weekend. Still Weyerhaeuser for now.

Port Blakely Owns the Main part of the tree farm... Weyco owns the other part.... I did hear from a hunter yesterday that the Port Blakely gate was open the last couple of days but it was locked up tight during the modern season.

Port blackely is walk in only, and are not like weyerhaeuser, they will not let you in to retrieve a animal you have down, you have to pack it out.

Anyone else experience the blue gate inside the newly bought Weyco land off Green Mountain Rd over there by the firestation open during Modern Firearm season?? There was about 30 trucks including us that had access to Port Blakely on Saturday and Sunday because PB forgot to shut a gate between Weyco land and there land...

Also if you have a animal down inside PB and you call them during the week they will come and let you in and escort you to the animal while you get it out. Also if they don't do it Fish and Game will open the gate and escort you to get your animal... PB let me in to get an elk out last year and I seen them let a couple people in this year. You just have to be nice and sweet talk the operator.
