Not sure how accurate this is, but I just recieved this message from a fairly reliable source....
To all---According to the latest issue of "Defenders" magazine,if you buy a certain type of special wildlife license plate in Montana, the state will "donate" $20 per plate to Defenders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--------------Just thought you would like to know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-----------It sure made my day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it's true I wonder how many states this is going on in?

Defenders Hits the Road in Montana
Now Montanans can show their support for wildlife whenever they drive across town. To raise funds and awareness for wildlife in the West, Defenders worked with the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles to design a license plate that honors the state’s diverse wildlife. Every time a Defenders’ license plate is sold or renewed, Defenders gets a $20 donation to help us keep working to protect wildlife in Montana and across the Rocky Mountains.

It wouldn't fly here folks. Not a bad idea though. If it's not green backed, (read anti/hippie backed) it will be seen as a vulgar obscenity to most of the population. Would be awesome to have a wfw plate. If we got it the anti's might by it without knowing what it was.

That would be awesome. Looked into it, though, and there is a moritorium on new applications for specialty license plates until July of 2013. I think i will post something on the WFW board, so we'll have a reminder if/when the moratorium is lifted

Knowing how government works around here a little I think if they started the process now they would get it done on their end by 2014. Then it's just a waiting game for the state to tell them to f off.
