Title: 2012-2013 Fishing Proposal Petition
Post by: singleshot12 on December 02, 2011, 04:41:38 PM
Major changes up for proposal for puget sound sturgeon, steelhead, and other changes. Doesn't look good, the worst is closing ALL puget sound waters and tributaries for the retention of sport caught keeper size sturgeon supposably to protect dwindling Columbia fish. But WHY just puget sound waters? And why still allow 10 sturgeon per day per Native Indian retention. Again This proposal is only favoring ONE user group!  And the end result is LESS people fishing! LESS fishing licenses being sold, which also causes the price to go way up for the ones who still want to purchase a fishing license. The State still has to get their money somehow.
Please Sign the petition at most local sporting goods stores or voice your opinion for other options like thinning out seals, stricter Native fishing resrictions, ending commercial guides etc.
Who knows  :dunno: enough people object to these changes we could atleast slow down the enevitable.

Good for you I really hope more people get off their lazy butts and sign it!

Where and what can I do to help out?

I would say write or email letters to wdfw, attend and voice your concerns at any up coming meetings.

Joining CCA and trying to get them more involved in the puget sound area would help too
