So I was cruising another website the other day when I see an add for a free black lab. The description reads: "I have a well trained 4 year old registered black lab that needs a new home. He does best with older kids and no other dogs but lives with 2 cats now and doesn't mind at all. Loves to play ball and hunt, needs a home with room to run around." So I emailed the owner because one of my buddies just put down his lab in October and doesnt have a hunting dog now, thinking he might be interested. My buddy has a small daughter, so he is electing to take one of my pups instead for his next hunting dog.
She responds and told me he is house trained, obedience trained and hunted over by her husband, but not for the last year because her husband has been extremely busy at work. Oh yeah and the best part is he is free because they are moving and cant keep him. Anyways, I have a soft spot for hunting dogs and I would hate to see this dog go to a bad home or to someone that might not using him for hunting. If I didnt have a 4 year old chocolate male, then I would take him myself.
I have talked to the owner several times encouraging her to make sure the dog finds a good home and I offered to post an add on here for her. She approved, so if anyone is interested in him, please PM me with your name, email address and phone number. I will pass your information off to her.

I hate computers. The dog still available? If so PM me and maybe I can figure out how to respond. I'd prefer a female, but the price is right. I swam the frozen flats for my last snow goose. I'm to old for that I need a dog.

Another one....
Free "Started dog" sounds a lot better than "Rescue Chessie"......
