I now know of 4 buddies with various manufactures of cams with cameras that will not take pics of deer standing right in front of them! But as soon as a human being walks up Boom!! pic... Every single cam I own right now isnt working :bash: I am hangning 2 to 3 cams a location just to get an accurate count of what is going on.

Put them a little lower. You will get better trigger response.

How do you know its not taking pics of deer? What if there are no deer :dunno:
-
set the camera so that it is facing on the trail the deer are coming in. If the trigger speed is slow, then you are probably missing the pics. Give us an idea of type of camera, and what settings you are using, did you use the test function to adjust the laser pointer to the correct height?

his cams are being placed over feed, and the feed is gone so there are deer there. he also knows how to hang cams to get the correct angle of pics. i am having some of the same issues with my cams. mine are cheap wildviews but they will work one day then the next day 18 hours of no pics then starts taking again... sucks knowing for a fact that there was deer there that it didnt take pics of.

Bullblaster, sucks that is happeneing. I have an oilder camera that will do that. Finally decided it was going outside the chicken coop to check on predators. Only use my newer Moultries for deer and elk now.

all wrong responses... the cams are on feed! deer standing 4 ft in front of them for hours nonstop.. 2 to 3 cams with same settings same direction.. one cam with 30 pics, another with 0 but of me coming in and leaving and the the other cam had 365! good friens texted me and asked me the same thing...he watched deer standing right in front of his cam and nothing..when he left tonight..took his pic

You might be buying the hiker trail cam versions instead of the deer trail cams. It's very important to look at the packaging when you're purchasing the cam because some will only sense humans (hikers).
I'm not really sure, I had the same issue one time with a Moultrie once. That damn thing didn't take one picture in 2 weeks, and I know several animals hung out in front of it. It did however get me leaving and arriving.
