Well, it was an awesome morning that is for sure. I can't say that I am a waterfowl expert as I am fairly new to the sport, but I have come to love seeing a group of ducks locked up on the decoys. Is there anything better than having a group of ducks fly by and you let out a couple soft calls and they turn around and cup their wings as they start to land in your spread? The day started out great when three green heads landed in the decoys. I shot two of them before my gun jammed not allowing me to get off a quick third shot and I watched as the third flew off into the distance out of range. I can honestly say that Pintails are one of the most beautiful birds I have ever seen. It was my second limit and I was so pumped. I will however take the minus points for the hen Shoveler that I brain panned. So much for thinking it was a hen Mallard. As I was walking out, I jumped between 500-750 Pintails. I was in awe of how many ducks could be jammed on just two little ponds and especially that they were all Pintails. I can't wait to get back into the blind in the morning. :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

Did you edit your original post? I take it you shot too many pinnies?

Oh well, good times.

So how many pintail dd you shoot?

now now lets not jump to conclusions...he said he shot his limit of pinnies...probably meaning that he shot his limit of 2 pintails...(unless he edited his original message)....and sounds like he shot at least 3 other ducks .... :dunno: ....however he did say he was new, so that may lead one to think that he may have done something illegal....
