A true “freak of nature” was taken west of West Salem during the second shotgun season over the weekend. Richard Lomas, a farmhand for George Knackmuhs, shot this 30-point doe on the late Richard Knackmuhs Farm. The deer, which features a non-typical rack, a drop antler still in velvet and no evidence of male genitalia, also does not appear to have ever given birth. Locals estimate the deer to be about 4-5 years old. Edwards County Times Advocate photo

Post by: Helix on December 08, 2011, 05:15:21 PM: My Hunter ed instructor had a picture of one he shot years ago over by Hanford of all places... One antler looked like a muely, one like a white tail and he says it had both male and female genitailia.

That there is one Ugly-ass deer! Makes one wonder if it was the result of a brother/sister mating or some wild crap like that.

and honestly I thought it was gonna be about some hunter who finally got a doe tag with 30 points :chuckle: actually seemed remotely possible based on what i read here....
