Spent the past week in the Desert unit. Very frustrating with the dense fog and limited visibility, finished rut, no wind etc etc.... The bigger bucks out there were super wary and skittish. First few days passed on smallish bucks. ( big mistake). Spent today trying to get close to the guy on the left in this photo. Talked to 8 bow hunters today and no one has filled tag that I spoke to. A few hunters spoke to stopped hunting on Saturday.
More on my experiences later ....

Pretty cool picture....Looks like a hog on the left. Good Luck
-
:yeah: good luck out there!

That area has to be very tough to archery hunt, especially post rut. Good luck.
-
you can do it,good luck and have good times
-
Sorry to hear you didnt fill your tag there Tom, but it sounds like you learned a lot from this hunt :hello:
-
when it comes to muleys I would prefer before or after rut..rather stalk a lone bedded buck..than chase a rutting buck with tons of eyes

Headed out for a rifle hunt this weekend to try to get a couple does. Should be fun. Sorry to hear you didn't connect. My huntin buddy had a muzzle tag 8-9 years ago & didn't get one either.
