I was looking at the Savage bear hunter in 338 win last night at cabelas. Looks like a sweet rifle and felt good in my hands. I have a Riger M77 Mk2 stainless/laminate in 300 win mag. Trying to figure out if i should sell my 300 win mag and buy the 338. I have a .270 and a .308, so i would really have everything covered.
I like the fact that it has an brake on the muzzle that you can close or open. Plus i like the trigger and fluted barrel.
Anybody shot one yet???

I haven't shot it yet but I've had my eye on the Bear Hunter in .325 since it came out. Damn fine gun, I'm just waiting for a good excuse to pick it up

I want to say that they are chambering the bear hunter in the 375 ruger now but I could be wrong :dunno:
I would of bought one in 338 already if it wasnt in a camo stock. I cant stand camoed guns for some reason. I wonder if I called savage and asked them to slap a synthetic accustock or a wood stock instead of the camo one if they would do it :dunno:
