I see where Brad Shot one today, story to follow soon. I was down scouting yesterday as I knew he was over here again. I got my pickup rear differential hung up on a stump. I jacked it up with a highlift then crawled under with a chainsaw to trip it loose. Bad idea as the pickup took off backward as I got it free. I made it out but the saw bar got ran over. I had a nanno second to see the outcome, first I chased the door to jump in for the brake but she was going to fast the trees were coming up from behind so I shut the door to save it. The rig slid down the tree all the way to the back door handle. Blew the tail light and put a new dimension to the box. I"ve had a new flatbed for that pickup here for 3 months, I'll get right on that next week. I had to smile when I got in and the dash indicated LAMP OUT. Sas had no idea I had even gone out yesterday, I usually keep her informed on where and when I'll be home. She got home at 9pm if that rig had rolled on me like a chock block I doubt if I would have made it. Lesson learned first hand. No camera with me yesterday.

Wow Dave, glad to hear you didn't get hung up under the truck on a stump too.

Holy crap your lucky, don't be doing that kind of stuff I need your guide service!!! :chuckle: Just kiddn, glad to hear your still alive, hope you had an extra pair of shorts with you.
-
Mtncook, glad to hear you made it OK. That kind of stuff happens way to quick on a guy, glad to hear you had enough time to roll free!
-
No kidding. Glad you are safe. I wonder what bull he chose to notch on. My vote is for the broken tine one. Looking forward to the rest of the story

Glad to here you are ok. :yike: Just a good lesson to always let someone know what is going on.

Great bull!! Congrats Brad.
-
Dang Dave, glad your OK. Just goes to show how fast things can happen.

Scary moment :yike: glad to hear you were not injured. I hunt by myself a lot and I hear it all the time about what if something happened. I always tell my wife, it could happen anywhere and if I were to go i'd rather go while I was out hunting then driving to work ;)
I bet you never thought you could move that fast though ;)
I keep thinking about purchasing one of those SPOT GPS thingamabobs...might be a good idea!
-
:yike: Glad you're okay and that is definitely a lesson learned from the way you describe it, glad nothing happened. Side not: can't wait to see the bull.
-
You'e braver then I!!! Would've left the damn truck and got myself stuck.... :chuckle: Glad only your saw and truck were hurt.... We could be reading something a lot worse.... Careful now!!!

Man glad you are safe. I know a guy that lost his life to something almost the same as what you had happen.
