My Buddy and always look for and find the Calf Nursery every year up around the Quinalt area. we usally get some great pictures as well.

Sure doesn't seem like there are very many predators in that area, lots of calves to cow ratio. How often do elk have twins? I saw one cow nursing two calves. I thought it was rare.

From what I have heard there are times when the calves are left in little herds where there is only a couple cows that watch over all of them.

Got most of it out. Sounds a little thin in the headphones but I dont think it will matter much through the ecaller out in the field.
