I am really interested in setting up a trail camera and have looked into a few different ones. The biggest thing I have noticed is the infrared cameras are a lot more expensive. Has anyone noticed if the flash cameras have any affect on the animals?

In my opinion, most of the time the flash doesn't bother the animal. Occasionally, it might spook them, depending on the particular animal and it's state of mind at the time. I have Cuddeback Excite (flash) cameras set up over mineral licks that consistently take multiple pictures of WT bucks at night, one minute apart for sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes.

Thats what I was thinking. I just wanted to find out from someone that knew first hand. I didn't want to put one up and run the animals away. I've got find a few good bulls to fill our tags this year. Thanks for the input.
