Title: White River GMU?
Post by: gutsnthegrass on January 04, 2012, 11:17:19 AM
I used to hunt this unit for elk before it went to permit only.  I was wondering what it will take for this unit to reopen, I was talking to a bio recently that said that the unit was hit really hard with overhunting and predation in the early 2000's.  The elk herd has gone up tremendously in past several years, and i feel it should be reopened.  I think that this is year that the redo the regs, is there any chance that it could reopen?

im sure they never will but if they dont open it to let us hunt it the tribes will just hunt it more so its a loose loose situation i dont think it matters weather they open it or not those elk will always get hit hard from the natives. its nice and close to home for the mucks
