Title: Snake River / Lower Granite
Post by: mdbuck5x5 on January 04, 2012, 09:12:21 PM
So I hit the river today for some steelhead near wawawai, but the fishing didn't go as planned!  :'(  I guess it rarely ever does! Got there at daybreak and the conditions were decent. On the 4th cast out my line snaps and everything goes bye bye!  :bash:  Not a great start, but I stayed optimistic. Well it didn't get much better! I stayed til 2. Not only got skunked but didn't even produce a bite, twitch of the bobber, nothing! I can't say this is the first time its happened to me but its been a while and it doesn't make it any easier!

I was just curious if anyone has fished the area lately, what kind of success you've been having? I saw about 9 other people fishing but didn't see any fish pulled in so maybe today was just an anamolly! I hope it gets better because my dad is flying in from Las Vegas next week to get some fishing in!

That is what we have nicknamed a "snapf#*k".  As soon as you hear the line snap it is always followed bya "F#*K!"
