Title: AR lower choice
Post by: gramps on January 06, 2012, 07:23:38 PM: I do not own an AR type rifle, but I am thinking seriously about putting one together.
I am looking at a complete lower from Palmetto(sp) or surplusammo.....anyone have an opinion on either??

I believe that have them for $79.99.

Post by: FC on January 06, 2012, 08:30:33 PM: Both are good quality but I think you are taking a beating on the price vs assembling your own lower, if the assembled lower prices were with a good trigger vs the grittiest and chittiest money can buy for $40 I would jump on one but they are not.

Assembling your own stripped lower is definitely the way to go.
