I have an older stand up freezer that quit working. How do I make it into a smoker?

Maverick,you got it made ......
there is couple of easy ways : get couple of vents in it (one at bottom of the door maybe or side and one at the top ) cut them in with grinder .Get  a single burner coil or plate  electric  cooker (like el.ranges use) dril hole for the el.cord somewhere its convenient (left right back top or bottom) ,get a pan for wood chips and you're done .......
you can smoke in like 1 hour + try to season the smoker with couple of pans of chips . Oh and I forgot thermometer - for the inside temperature so you know .....
if you go to the sausagemaker.com site you can see that some smokers are built just like that -that should give you an idea .....
