-
Someday I will.... gonna start with the 556 though!

I was looking to buy/build one also, until I bought a 6.5 Grendel.
What are you trying to do with it? Post pic and info!

I run a r-25 in 7mm-08, my cousin has the same rifle but in 308. They are great guns I love mine very much.
I am building a 223 and either a 6.8 or 6.5 grendel right now.
You can build the 308's for about 800.00 and have a nice gun. Most will sell new for around 1200+

can you build a big frame AR in 7mm mag?
-
No to big of COAL on shells like the magnums. They wont fit into a mag to run threw the ar-10. You can get to a 338 fed or some other great rds. If you want a auto in the mag cals you have to go to a rifle like a BAR

I run an Armilite ar 10 A2 in 308, & I have a Springfield Armory 4-14-56 2nd generation government Model scope. It is set up with a ballistic plex reticule built specifically for the 168 grain A-max, it reticule is set up to fire out to a 1000 meters. It is quite the package, & has taken quite a few deer & to many coyotes to count. The only down side to the gun is the fact that it weighs about 12 lbs unloaded...

Not in 308, but I have a DPMS in 260 Rem. Good ballistics, accurate, no recoil, heavy.

Wheres the "like" button on here? :P I already have a .223 and going to be looking at .308 as my next one. What about barrel length and is free floating barrel really better? What type of pattern can they hold at what yardage? Anyone got pics and reason why they built theres the way they did?
-
yes free floating is better. im going with a 20 inch.
