I posted pictures of his sheds in the shed forum too. Nice buck and should be better next year if the wolves or cats don't get him first.
-
Yep. I would say he is nice.
-
Sweet.
-
nice buck..but I dont see 28" maybe 24
-
 cool buck!

I hope you can find him next season, very nice....
-
WOW!
-
I see 283/4
-
mine was 17 and he is alot and i mean alot wider than mine
-
My aunts is 23 and that is maybe a little wider. So I would say 25 26 maybe. Never know till you get him. Nice pic
-
Nice buck. But how do you really know how wide he is if he's not dead?
-
Figure 20" to the tips of the ears on a mature buck. With the bases butted together it is still 24 1/2! I do know how to read a tape measure also.

Everyone on this site is an official scorer and expert in their respective fields..... :chuckle: :chuckle: Don't worry about how wide he is and just concentrate on killing him next year. He is plenty wide enough to be on your wall.
Thanks for posting the pics and good luck next year finding him.

:yeah: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
Get him this year and tell us the score.
-
i dont claim to be an official scorer..but 28" whitetail is unheard of and would rank towards the widest bucks ever killed in WA..maybe I should put up pics of a 28" wide muley
-
Nice buck jdurham.
My '98 NE WT buck is 25 1/2" wide.
This one's a solid 2" wider and probably closer to 3" with what is a similar frame and ear position.
From an amateur scorer who can read tape measure and make assumptions from a picture of course. :chuckle:

With plenty of pictures a taxidermist will come pretty close on the mount. Just hoping he makes it through the year. Predators run rampant here in Washington. Plenty of cats where I live.
-
How ever wide he ends up being, that is one damn nice buck   !!! Thanks for sharing.

A friend and I watched his Daddy in my field about 2 weeks ago with my spotlight. Now that guy was big. Never got in front of any of my cameras that night. He was not social i guess! Probably why he is big.

Yeah right. 18 to 20 inches at the ears so this one sticks past the ears 2"

Not 18-20 on a whitetail, more like 16-18......

:yeah: and most dont even get 18" to the ear tips
